Many people today are carrying around with them so many negative emotions. Anger, sadness, fear, hurt, guilt, resentment, rejection, mistrust, fear of failure, fear of success, not feeling like they are good enough, etc. Holding onto these negative emotions is very damaging to the body. Causes all kinds of health issues, diseases, mental/emotional issues; it’s so much better to deal with the emotion and let it go. Then you say, “well, I would like to let it go, but I don’t know how to”. Does that sound familiar? Well, you’re not alone. Many people don’t know how to let go.
If you’ve lost someone close to you, maybe they’ve passed onto their next journey, and yet we are still grieving for the loss we feel. When we grieve for too long, we keep them from evolving and moving onto their next path, and aren’t you really grieving for yourself? It’s time to let go of the sadness, anger you are feeling and move on at a certain point. With a lost relationship or lost love, you carry around feelings of resentment, anger, hate, hurt, rejection. You may say, “I’ll forgive you, but I will never forget what you did to me”.
When you keep these feelings/emotions inside of you, who do you really think you are hurting? YES…YOU……NO ONE ELSE. That other person has moved on, but you are still carrying around those negative emotions. But remember: THAT’S YOUR CHOICE to do this. The Law of Cause and Effect is about taking responsibility for ourselves, our choices, our empowerment.
When you live at the effect of someone other than yourself, you are giving your power away to that person and disempowering yourself. IS THAT REALLY WHAT YOU WANT TO DO? I didn’t think so. When you live at cause, you take responsibility for everything you create in your life, and you are totally empowered!!!!! LET GO!!!
The Hawaiians have a process called “Ho’oponopono … the art of forgiveness and letting go. The Hawaiians believe that it’s good to be Pono with anyone you have disagreed with before the sunsets. They also practice “Aloha” which means love.
Ho’oponopono is the art of letting go and forgiving someone … cutting your cords with them, saying whatever you want to say so that you are complete and can move on, and this is done without them having to be being present. It’s such a great process. I teach this to individuals and in groups, and everyone loves the process, and when you finish, you feel this sense of freedom.
